Kuch Kuch Hota Hai: A Synopsis of the Plot and the Cast

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Karan Johar’s first movie as a director, came out in 1998. The movie is mostly about three characters: Rahul, Tina, and Anjali (Kajol), who is liked by many. Rahul, played by Shah Rukh Khan, is torn between his late wife Tina and his childhood friend Anjali. Rani Mukerji and Kajol play his ex-wives. In this story, Rahul comes to terms with how strongly he feels about Anjali. There is love, heartbreak, and forgiveness. 1. St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai

Another well-known place from the movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is the grounds of St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai. The historic and beautiful buildings on the college grounds were the setting for many important scenes in the movie. We filmed an important part of the song “Tujhe Yaad Na Meri Aayi” at the college. Throughout the movie, scenes with Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan) and Anjali (Kajol) show how their relationship and feelings are growing. These scenes take place in and around the college’s red-brick building and large grounds.

As people walk around the grounds, they can feel the magic that made Kuch Kuch Hota Hai special.

2. Dadaji’s House (Film Studio)

Another interesting place to see is Rahul’s father’s house, Dadaji, which is very well decorated. This house was planned and built just for the movie, even though it is in Mumbai. With great care and attention to detail, the set was made in a film studio to create the cosy setting needed for important scenes. The house and its settings added to the movie’s friendly and warm feel.

Everything on the set, from the family pictures to the furniture, added to the vividness of Rahul’s life and the tensions in his family.

3. Ooty (The Hill Station)

Ooty in Tamil Nadu is one of the most stunning places to film. In particular, the beautiful verdant scenery of Ooty served as a breathtaking setting for the film’s dramatic finale. Set against the spectacular backdrop of the Ooty hill station, the world-famous “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” song features Rahul, Anjali, and their daughter. This setting was one of the most memorable parts of the film due to the expansive valleys, gardens, and tea plantations.

Thanks to its calm beauty, you will feel like you’ve stepped into the frames of this legendary film when you visit Ooty. The Ooty Lake and Botanical Gardens were the sites of numerous scenes, so be sure to see them!

4. The Maldives  (Rahul and Tina’s Honeymoon Destination)

The beautiful Maldives were the setting for some of the most touching scenes in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, even though most of the movie took place in India. During Rahul and Tina’s vacation, they went to the Maldives, which was a beautiful place that added a sophisticated air to their love story. The story was set against azure blue seas, white sand beaches, and fancy resorts, and it was about love and loss.

5. Film City, Mumbai (The School Campus)

The school grounds is where Sana Saeed’s main character, “Junior Anjali” (Rahul), spends time. The movie was shot in Mumbai’s Film City. The exact location in Film City is still a secret, but people in Mumbai can get a better look by walking around the areas where the funny and touching scenes between Rahul and his daughter were filmed.

Songs from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai: A Synopsis

The songs, which were written by Jatin-Lalit, perfectly show the range of feelings that the people in the movie go through.
