The most eagerly anticipated superhero series of Indian cinema, Krrish is back. According to Pinkvilla, Krrish 4 would be made by Aditya Chopra working with Rakesh Roshan and will start filming by early 2026. There’s more to it. The movie will be the first time Hrithik Roshan, one of India’s most renowned and greatest superstar, directs. Hrithik will wear the hat of actor and director for Krrish 4, the largest superhero franchise of Indian cinema, that started with Koi Mil Gaya in 2003, followed by Krrish and Krrish 3. The script is locked and pre-production work is going on in full force as the intention is to take the film on floors in early 2026,” revealed a source.

Rakesh Roshan tells Pinkvilla, “I am giving the baton of the director of Krrish 4 to my son, Hrithik Roshan, who has lived, breathed and dreamt about this franchise since its birth with me. Hrithik has a definite and somewhat ambitious idea of carrying Krrish’s journey forward with the audience for the following decades. Seeing him wear the director’s cap for a movie that means the world to us as a family makes me more proud than before. Hrithik will now show the future chapters of Krrish, a heroic story that has thrilled people all across, and carry the concept I conceived so many years ago to higher heights.

Rakesh Roshan is overjoyed that Aditya Chopra will create Krrish 4 in charge. Seeing someone like Adi as the producer of Krrish 4 gives me great delight. He persuaded Hrithik to occupy the director’s chair. Adi and Yash Raj Films have the experience, insight and technical power to make this movie and greatly enhance this initiative.

He continues, “Hrithik and Adi coming together as a producer-director pair with me behind them is a rare and deliciously inventive mix. I am certain they will make Krrish 4 a theatrical event unlike any ever produced in India. The objective is to create India proud globally with a larger-than-life experience like Krrish 4.

Following a lengthy pre-production of about a year, Krrish 4 will go on floors in early 2026. The story is set; the pre-viz for this superhero epic is still being worked on. With the goal to represent India at a worldwide level, Krrish 4 is said to be the most ambitious film of Indian Cinema. Krrish 4 would bring Jadoo back to the franchise 22 years after his debut appearance in Koi Mil Gaya, according to Pinkvilla earlier.
