Review: Power of Paanch brings a new idea to Indian OTT platforms by mixing magical and mysterious elements. It’s about friendship, relationships, and having problems in your own life. With eight episodes out so far, the interesting plot shows how unpredictable life can be in a unique way.
A bunch of teens are in the show, and they have to figure out how to handle their new powers, their worst fears, and their duty to protect the world. This fantasy story gets off to a rough start. The shows that are less than 30 minutes long feel rushed and lack emotional depth. The pace is constant, so there isn’t much time for characters to grow or for the viewer to get involved. The cartoonish figures and weak start might disappoint viewers at first. But as the show goes on, the story gets stronger thanks to its short episodes and interesting magic elements, making it a fun and easy show for fans of the genre.
It’s clear that Ektaa Kapoor is good at making dramatic movies, but Power of Paanch lacks the finesse that you’d expect from a project of this size. The visuals and sound design do a good job of creating a creepy, mysterious mood, but the direction isn’t quite right. Some scenes would have been better with better cutting and more complex storylines.
The group does a great job, but Riva Arora really stands out with her emotional range and screen presence. Aditya Raj Arora, Bianca Arora, Yash Sehgal, and Jaiveer Juneja all do a great job, and veteran players Urvashi Dholakia and Barkha Bisht give the story weight. Some supporting figures, on the other hand, are too dramatic, which takes away from the overall experience.

Even though the show has problems, its production values are impressive and create an interesting atmosphere. Power of Paanch, which was created by Vikas Gupta and Ektaa Kapoor, has a lot of promise but needs more work. At times, the story doesn’t flow well, and the drama is lost in plots that are easy to guess. The idea is interesting, but the story falls into the same old patterns that Indian TV shows often do.
The supernatural thriller Power of Paanch is a good attempt to explore the genre. The show has a great cast and an interesting premise, which makes it a nice change from normal slice-of-life shows. But its choppy pace, predictable plot, and lack of creativity may make people want more. It’s worth watching for fans of the genre and people who want to find something fun and different from the usual. There will be more turns and twists in this show because new episodes come out every Friday. Let’s hope that later shows add the depth and new ideas that this ambitious project needs.
