Pros

  • Relatable Theme: The film effectively captures the emotions of love and isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Tanuj Virwani’s Performance: His natural and charming acting makes Nikhil’s character engaging and relatable.
  • No Unnecessary Distractions: The film stays focused on its central theme without forced songs or side plots.
  • Emotional Second Half: The later part of the movie carries strong emotional weight, making it memorable.
  • Unexpected Ending: The twist at the end leaves a lasting impression.

Cons

  • Slow Pacing: The film takes time to develop, which may test the patience of some viewers.
  • One-Dimensional Female Lead: Riya’s character lacks depth, making her emotional struggles less impactful.
  • Weak Supporting Cast: Side characters do not add much to the story or make a lasting impression.
  • Missed Opportunities for Humor: The screenplay could have used light moments to balance the serious tone.
  • Late Release Impact: The film’s pandemic theme might have been more impactful if released earlier.

Lets Meet Movie Review

The story of ‘Let’s Meet’ takes place during the COVID-19 epidemic and centers on two characters, Nikhil (Tanuj Virwani), an actor who is struggling and longs for love, and Riya (Suman Rana), a woman who is careful and guarded emotionally. Their online romance is growing, but when Riya makes a surprising request, their developing relationship faces a big challenge.

Finding love during social distancing is tough. ‘Let’s Meet’ tells the story of Nikhil, an aspiring actor whose problems with love get worse because of pandemic limits. Just as he is about to quit, Riya comes into his life like a breath of fresh air. Unlike Nikhil, who wants to feel close to others, Riya stays mentally and physically distant. She never removes her mask, even on their online dates. What begins as a sweet love story quickly turns into an important discussion about trust, fear, and respecting personal space.

Director and writer Ravinder (Ricky) Sandhu effectively portrays the feelings of the pandemic, including its frustrations, worries, and the desire for human connection. The basic idea is easy to understand. It shows the difference between two people: one wants to love, while the other is afraid to open up. Both views are reasonable, but the story tends to favour Nikhil because Tanuj Virwani’s acting is natural and charming. His depiction of a man going back and forth between hope and frustration makes it easy to support him.

Riya’s character seems too strict, and Suman Rana’s acting is not very strong, making the character feel one-dimensional. She hardly shows the strong feelings that would explain why she is so careful, making her seem less caring. The supporting cast, including Supriya Shailja as Riya’s friend, doesn’t make a big impact either.

The film moves slowly, but it stays interesting because it’s simple and true. There are no distractions like misplaced songs or needless side stories, so the attention stays on Nikhil and Riya’s developing relationship. The screenplay could have been improved by being more focused and including fun, memorable moments to balance the important parts. The outbreak reminds us of the past, but if the film had come out earlier, it would have been more powerful.

The best part of ‘Let’s Meet’ is its emotional second half and an unexpected ending that you remember even after the movie is over. Although it has some problems, the film is a strong memory of the unusual and uncertain times we went through and how our relationships were challenged in unexpected ways.
