Veer Pahariya, an actor from Sky Force, has apologised to comedian Pranit More. Pranit claimed he was attacked by a group of 11-12 men for making a joke about Veer during one of his performances.
The incident took place at 24K Kraft Brewzz in Solapur at about 5:45 PM on February 2. Pranit More’s team posted a detailed story about the experience on his Instagram account. After his performance, the comedian was talking to his fans when a group of men started beating him, hitting and kicking him several times, which left him hurt.
They said the police didn’t help them, and the club wouldn’t provide the CCTV footage as evidence.
The note said that Tanveer Shaikh led the attack and that his group explained their reasons for it. They tried to stop Pranit from making jokes about Veer Pahariya, who is new to Bollywood.
“One of them even threatened, ‘Next time, try joking about Veer Pahariya baba!’ This was a strong warning that there would be more serious consequences if he made fun of him again.”
The team said they submitted an online complaint from Mumbai.
A few hours after the post was made, Veer Pahariya apologised publicly on his Instagram stories.
“I am truly shocked and saddened by what happened to Comedian Pranit More. I want to make it clear – I had no involvement in this, and I strongly condemn any form of violence. As someone who has always taken trolling in stride, laughed along with it, and shown love even to my critics, I would never encourage or support harm towards anyone, let alone someone from the same creative fraternity,” wrote Actor Veer Pahariya.
For the unversed, Veer Pahariya is the brother of Shikhar Pahariya and the grandson of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde. Shikhar Pahariya is said to be dating Janhvi Kapoor.
Veer, Shikhar, Janhvi, and Khusi Kapoor are good friends. Veer Pahariya started his acting career in Akshay Kumar’s movie Sky Force. He portrayed an IAF officer in the movie.
