In the early 2000s, Salman Khan’s portrayal of Radhe Mohan in Tere Naam became iconic, not only for his compelling performance but also for his distinctive bald look. This change was a turning point in Khan’s career and showed how dedicated he was to becoming his character fully.

The Impulsive Decision

Salman Khan said that he decided on the spot to shave his head during an interview on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in 2021. He talked about being sick and feeling pushed by the director of another movie to keep shooting. He quickly shaved his head when he got angry and went to the toilet. The next day, he told director Sunil Manchanda how he looked different and said he would be happy to play Radhe Mohan in Tere Naam.

A Role Against All Odds

Salman Khan said that many people told him not to take the part in Tere Naam. Even though he was sceptical, he felt a strong link to the character and decided to go ahead with it. People liked this choice because the movie got good reviews and Khan’s act was called one of his best.

It showed how dedicated Khan was to his job and how ready he was to take risks for a part. People still remember this look after all these years, and Khan even wore it again, which made fans go crazy.
