Shah Rukh Khan Reveals His Next Film Title, King: “It’s a Bit Showy, But We’ve Run Out of Titles

At a recent event, Shah Rukh Khan talked about his upcoming movie, King, and joked that the title comes from his nickname.

Shah Rukh Khan made his comeback to movies in 2023 after a four-year break and quickly became the top star at the box office again. His three hits that year made fans eager to see what he would do next. Shah Rukh decided to take a break in 2024 without releasing any new films. The star will appear in King, which brings him back together with Pathaan director Siddharth Anand. At a recent event, Shah Rukh, known as King Khan, commented on the playful title of the picture.

Shah Rukh went to an event at the Global Village in Dubai, UAE, on Sunday. On stage, the actor sang some of his most popular songs and interacted with the crowd. He talked about his new film, King, here. “I’m not just filming it here; I’m going to film it in Mumbai when I go back in a couple of months.” My director, Siddharth Anand, is quite strict. He created Pathaan. He is very strict. He said, “Don’t share details about the film or your role in it.” I can’t say exactly what it is, but I promise it will be enjoyable and fun for you.

About the film’s title, Shah Rukh said, “I’ve used many titles…”We’re out of names now.Now, Shah Rukh Khan as Shah Rukh Khan in King. That was kind of bragging.

About King

Sujoy Ghosh, who wrote the story, was originally meant to direct King. However, it was reported late last year that Siddharth Anand, who helmed SRK’s comeback film Pathaan, was taking over as director. The actor has been shooting his parts since last year. The film is said to also feature his daughter, Suhana Khan, along with Abhishek Bachchan. There hasn’t been any public news about the cast or when it will be released yet.
