Crazxy Movie Review

A surgeon who is being sued for death by medical negligence is on his way to talk to the family of the victim about a deal that doesn’t involve going to court. But things go wrong when he has to decide whether to use the settlement money to get his freedom back or pay a fee to free the daughter he left behind. Will he make the right choice in time with only one hour left?

Review: From the very beginning, when we meet Dr. Abhimanyu Sood (Sohum Shah), it’s clear that he’s a strong character—sharp, unbending, and not someone to be crossed. You think he’s going to make a shady deal, but things are actually a lot more complicated than that. And just like that, writer-director Girish Kohli skilfully lays out ideas, only to turn them on their heads or surprise you with changes that keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.

The cinematographers, Sunil Ramkrishna Borkar and Kuldeep Mamania, do a great job of capturing the film’s mood, which goes back and forth between edgy and post-apocalyptic. This is true whether the scene is in a graveyard, a garage, or an empty highway. Even though the movie takes place mostly on a drive and only has Abhimanyu on screen, the tight script keeps your attention.

The gripping direction by Sanyukta Kaza and Rythem Lath, along with Vishal Bhardwaj’s atmospheric music, makes the film even better. The redux of Laxmikant-Pyarelal’s Abhimanyu from Inquilab keeps Kishore Kumar’s original lyrics, giving it an emotional new take. Goli Maar Bheje Mein (Satya) and Mitron Maidaan (Babbu Maan) have a raw, edgy sound. Pul (Vishal Mishra) is a soft, melodic opposite, and O Papa makes you want to cry so hard that you need tissues.

At times, the constant fights may seem like too much, but the story is told so well that believable events are less important than the sheer visual rush. As the stress rises after the break, the fast-paced scenes that test Abhimanyu’s limits reach their peak. Even when the big reveal seems like it should have been expected, the way it is delivered makes it interesting and moving.

Sohum Shah is the movie’s main actor and fully lives up to his complex character, who is a bright surgeon, a terrible father, and an angry man with a chance to change. Great speech work by Piyush Mishra as his boss, Shilpa Shukla as his lover, Nimisha Sajayan as his ex-wife, and Tinnu Anand as the kidnapper. In the meantime, Unnati Surana makes an impression in just a few scenes as his daughter Vedica.

It has a mix of tension, style, and raw energy like Tarantino’s movies, and it pays tribute to Amitabh Bachchan. Crazxy is a must-see for its brave storytelling and character study. You’ll remember the movie for a long time after the end credits.
