Baby John Box Office Trends: Varun Dhawan Starrer Eyes Rs 12 Crore Opening Day

The Baby John box office trends show Varun Dhawan’s action-packed masala film has taken a promising start on its opening day. With the help of the Christmas holiday, the Kalees-directed movie made an estimated Rs 11–12 crore on its first day of release. However, its overall performance has been impacted by competition from Mufasa in urban centres and Pushpa 2 in mass belts.

Baby John has succeeded despite the challenging post-pandemic box office environment for non-franchise films starring younger actors. It has outperformed more recent releases such as Jug Jugg Jeeyo and Bhediya, demonstrating Dhawan’s potential at the box office for action films.

With a chance to reach the Rs 100 crore milestone by the end of its theatrical run, the extended holiday period gives the movie hope for a long run. Although early trends point to a Thursday decline, the movie’s performance on Days 2 and 3 will dictate its future course. As of right now, Baby John is off to a respectable start, laying the groundwork for an important weekend.

For fans of the masala genre, the film’s action-packed scenes and universally appealing plot are major draws. Although the initial reception is praiseworthy, reviews and audience word-of-mouth will ultimately determine Baby John’s success. It’s unclear if the movie will be able to find a place among the current box office heavyweights, since the masala genre needs widespread acceptance to survive.
