Aashiqui 3: Tripti Dimri’s Exit As Leading lady Opposite Kartik Aryan and Anurag Basu’s Film

The much-awaited romantic musical Aashiqui 3 has hit a surprising twist as Tripti Dimri exits the project. Fans of the franchise were excited to see her play the lead, but she reportedly had to leave because of her schedule. With an emotional plot and soul-stirring music, Anurag Basu’s Aashiqui 3 looks like it will live up to the legacy of its famous predecessors.

Since Tripti Dimri is no longer in the cast, the producers are looking at other leading lady options. This is meant to keep the audience guessing about who will be on screen with Kartik Aaryan, who has been cast as the main male character. Even though the cast has changed, fans are still very excited about Aashiqui 3 and are waiting for more news about the film’s progress.

Earlier, there were reports that Tripti exited the film. But according to a recent report by Zoom and reported by Times Now, the actress was dropped from the project as the makers felt she was not a good fit for the role. 

She has been in films like Bad Newz, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, and more since Animal. But these movies didn’t do well at the box office, which led to a string of movies that didn’t do well.

“The fundamental requirement to be the heroine of Aashiqui 3 is innocence reflecting through and as observed by the team behind the film, Tripti Dimri with her recent films has become too exposed to be cast in this romantic film which demands purity in demeanour from the female lead. Aashiqui is a legendary, soulful love story and the makers do not see Tripti fitting the parameters,” a source close to the development stated to the publication. 

The source added, “After Animal, there has been no buzz around her. More so, her solo standing at the box office hasn’t proven profitable with her recent films.

Tripti’s earlier films like Laila Majnu, Bulbbul and Qala established her as a skilled actor. But it was 2023’s Animal which truly catapulted her into success. Animal’s massive box-office success also added to Tripti’s star power. 

So, what will happen to Aashiqui 3 now?

The creators are now busy looking for a new face that fits the role and has the innocence they want. We are still waiting to hear who will be the new face of Aashiqui 3 for leading lady opposite kartik Aryan.
