The triumph of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Anees Bazmee’s 45th anniversary in the movie business made 2024 a remarkable year for him.
“It’s been a long, rewarding journey filled with countless stories, incredible collaborations, and a lot of learning,” Anees added, addressing this writer with humility and thanks. Over the years, the audience has shown me love and support, which has really humbled me. This accomplishment makes me think back to the reasons I initially became interested in filmmaking, and I can’t wait to make more films that have an impact. I have learned a lot from working closely with Raj Kapoor Saab, and the best gift I have received from this experience has been the capacity to develop and change.
“My journey has been one of continuous learning, first as a writer and then as a director,” he continued. I have stayed in a seeking mindset for the past forty-five years, always changing and improving myself to keep up with the times. The opportunity to experiment with and do justice to nearly every genre of filmmakingβcomedies, psychological thrillers, horror comedies, love stories, and moreβhas distinguished my work. I am extremely appreciative of the chance to explore such a wide range of storytelling and have had the privilege of working with amazing talents within the industry.
“Pyar Toh Hona Hi Tha, Deewangee, No Entry, Welcome Back, Welcome, Singh is Kinng, Ready, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, and also my first film Swarg!” was Anees’ response when asked to list his favourite movies by this writer. To be honest, I take pride in every movie I’ve written or directed.
