Ranveer Allahbadia controversy
Ranveer Allahbadia is having more and more trouble because of what he said on the roast show India’s Got Latent. The 31-year-old has said sorry for his rude comments, but the controversy is quickly becoming a big crisis.
Here are 10-point to help you understand this long story.
- Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi said she would bring up the issue with the Parliamentary panel of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
- “Any offensive language used for comedic purposes goes too far and is not okay.” Just because you have a platform doesn’t mean you have to say anything. He has millions of listeners, and every politician has listened to his podcast. PM gave him an award… “This is something I will talk about as a member of the standing committee of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting,” she said on X.
- In Mumbai and Guwahati, police have filed complaints against Ranveer Allahbadia, comedian Samay Raina, influencer Apoorva Makhija, and others in connection with the India’s Got Latent show where Allahbadia made the rude comments.
- Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, said that the state police have filed a FIR against Allahbadia, YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani, comedian Jaspreet Singh, Makhija, Raina, and others for encouraging defamation and having a sexually explicit and rude conversation.
- A lot of complaints have been made against Allahbadia in Mumbai. He has 4.5 million Instagram fans and 1.05 crore YouTube subscribers. The police have said they are looking into it. Allahbadia and Raina have been asked to help with the investigation.
- It caused a stir when Allahbadia said certain things, and the chief minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, said he knew about it. “Everyone is free to speak their mind, but that freedom ends when we break someone else’s freedom.” “Everyone has limits, and if someone breaks them, something will be done,” he said.
- Allahbadia, who is also known as the BeerBiceps Guy, was recently on an episode of Raina’s show India’s Got Latent. Allahbadia asks a contestant, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?” This short clip from the show is now going viral.
- The comments caused a huge argument, so Allahbadia said he was sorry and that he wasn’t good at comedy and that he made a mistake. “What I said wasn’t only rude, it wasn’t even funny.” “I’m sorry, I’m not good at comedy,” he said in a video message.
- The podcaster said that he didn’t want to use his position in this way. “I am not going to explain what happened or why it happened; it just happened.” I’m just here to say sorry. I made a mistake in my own opinion. “It wasn’t cool of me,” he said.
- Because of what happened, there has been a lot of criticism of crude material in comedy shows. Singer B Praak, who was supposed to be on Allahbadia’s show, has backed out of the plan and told stand-up comics to be careful what they write.
