Are you excited for the much-awaited Ed Sheeran Concert in Chennai? Ed Sheeran is currently touring six cities in India as part of his concert series in Asia. The +–=÷× Tour (pronounced The Mathematics Tour) is the ongoing fourth concert tour by the English singer-songwriter, and his third stop in India will be the southern city of Chennai on February 5.

The box office opens at 1pm. If you chose to pick up your tickets, please get your wristbands here. Gates open at 4 PM, and the opening act, singer Jonita Gandhi, will perform at 6:15 PM. There are four ways to enter: Gate 1 is for HSBC Star Struck Lounge ticket holders, Gate 2 is for fans arriving by hired cabs, Gate 3 is for people walking in, and Gate 4 is the main entrance where the box office is found.
Parking Problem
There is no parking at the venue, so concert attendees are advised to take the MTC bus to the YMCA Nandanam stop or the metro to Nandanam. The bus stop is 650 metres from the venue, and the metro station is 1 kilometre away. If you take a taxi, you will need to walk 900 metres, which takes about 12 minutes, to get to the venue. So, wear comfortable shoes.
Rules To Know
When you enter, you will need to go through a quick security check. Bags bigger than 12” x 9” aren’t allowed inside, so pack light. Once you enter, do not exit the venue because re-entry will not be allowed. To stay hydrated, bring a clear plastic empty water bottle. The venue will have several places where you can get free water refills.

Safety measures To Know
Children under 5 cannot enter the venue, and those under 16 must have an adult with them. Parents should get a ‘tag your child’ wristband from the helpdesk to avoid losing their child. The venue has first aid areas and medical staff, along with police officers and Quick Response Teams available throughout. There is a lost and found desk available if you need help or if you lose something.
Services And Facilities
There are special areas for smoking, and there are restrooms for both men and women that are accessible for people with disabilities. Food stalls will be available for each section, so please add money to your wristbands ahead of time to avoid rushing at the last minute. Brands such as Domino’s, Burger King, Subway, and Tibb’s Frankie will be there.

British singer Ed Sheeran’s 2025 India tour music concert is to be held on Wednesday (February 5, 2025) at YMCA grounds, Nandanam in Chennai at 6 p.m. As a huge audience is expected for the event 3 p.m. onwards, traffic diversions have been announced by the Greater Chennai Traffic Police.
